Description
The ‘Justin Brouwers’ Dwarf Boxwood is a slow to moderate growing evergreen shrub with a compact mounded form if left to grow naturally. With pruning it can be kept in a globe shape. Its exceptional sun tolerance and small deep-green leaves makes it a great substitute for the popular English Boxwood, which is known to suffer from too much sun.
Landscape & Garden Uses

Growing in a rounded form to 18 to 24″ tall and wide (depending on pruning), the ‘Justin Brouwers’ Dwarf Boxwood is the perfect choice for use as a low formal hedge or border edger in the landscape, or for planting under low windows or to line paths and walkways in home foundation plantings. Excellent for use in pots, planters and other containers with a diameter of 12 inches or more. A fine addition to Asian or English gardens and formal gardens. Excellent for bonsai.
Suggested Spacing:  12-18″ for hedges,  30″+ for space between plants

Note:  For our customers who live and garden north of  USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 6a where this plant is not winter hardy, you’ll be happy to know it can be grown in containers that can be brought indoors during winter and placed back outside when temperatures warm up in spring.
Growing Preferences
‘Justin Brouwers’ Dwarf Boxwood is easy to grow when planted right, and in the right spot. It adapts to most soil types and likes full sun or part shade. It prefers a well-drained soil and will only need some water during drought or prolonged periods with no rain. As with many other plants, a constantly soggy or wet soil can be problematic.

Plant arrived during early summer so it’s a bit hot here. I have it on irrigation so hopefully it will thrive. The plant arrived in good shape, well packed. I hope it continues to do well.———————————————————–We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy it for years to come! Thanks for the great review! 🙂 Beth Steele | WBG
I will be purchasing again. The packaging was very nice, the soil was nice and moist and the boxwoods did not show any signs of stress (which is a plus). I planted them right away and they are doing amazing.——————————————————We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy them for years to come!
